Why Are You Paying To Much?

We have been doing some price investigation in the local Ponderay area when it comes to goat milk. What we found may interest you, and finally put to rest the idea that FARM FRESH is too expensive.

This picture was taken at the Ponderay Wal-Mart in late January. This was the ONLY goat milk available.
Factory farmed
Most likely goats are grain, soy and corn fed
Ultra pasteurized
Most likely goats are heavily vaccinated
Unknown if goats ever see pasture
Vitamin D additives
Unknown milking date
Unknown antibiotic usage
Great for the lactose intolerant
No actual nutritional value (as it is ultra pasteurized, and considered dead food)
Most likely machine milked
Production location unknown, may come from multiple farms
https://www.meyenberg.com/ for more information
Just $6.47 for 32 oz (qt) or $12.94 for 64 oz (half gallon)
We also checked Super 1 and Yokes for locally produced raw goat milk and found none. Super 1 did have this same brand for a few pennies less.

Our goat milk, fresh from the farm
Raw, loads of naturally derived vitamins and minerals
No additives
Grass fed goats (currently eating grass hay, chaff hay and alfalfa pellets. Pasture coming soon as weather permits)
Hand milked
Milk is dated so you know the exact day it was created
No antibiotics (if needed for an active infection, milk is held for the recommended withdrawal period)
Great tasting, with no goaty after taste, just sweet and creamy
Great for the lactose intolerant
Unvaccinated goats
Single farm you can visit and talk to the actual farmer
Just $4.00 for 32 oz (qt) or $6.00 for 64 oz (half gallon)
You do the math.
Here on the farm we prefer to sell at reasonable prices, but to stay in business we need your help. We have not raised the price of our milk since 2018. We have actually eaten the increased feed, bedding and supply costs to keep your food affordable.
Doesn't it just make more sense to buy local. Les expensive while supporting a locally owned family farm.
Our farm brings into Sandpoint every Wednesday for pickup, or your can visit the farm store at 8710 Bottle Bay Rd. in Sagle which is open seven days a week. We are also open to adding other drop off location in Bonner County but there must be serving a minimum of 5 families at each drop point.
We do recommend TEXTING 208 610 1747 before making the drive as the farm store, to make sure we are open. Business hours are typically 8am to 5pm seven days a week, but we can be closed at varies times due to the needs of the family and farm.
