Round 5: Quads
Fancy with her quads Fancy Fancy (dam) is a 5 year old LaMancha/Nubian cross doe that was born here on the farm. She is an excellent producer, giving over a gallon of great tasting milk a day. This is her first ever set of quadruplets, two boys and two girls. She is an excellent mother. Unfortunately, the black/white doeling in the picture above passed away from unknown causes at about 36 hours of age. Tank Tank (sire) is a yearling Alpine/Nigerian buck that joined our farm i

Round 4: 5 Days Early
Came home from my milk drop off and errand day on Wednesday to my entire herd of goats standing at the gate just screaming at me. I knew Pearl was due to kid on the 13th so I went and checked to see if there was any sign she was going into labor. This was at about 1:30 in the afternoon, and I didn't see anything at the time. I unloaded the feed I had just brought home and went to the house for lunch. I came back down about 30 minutes later, and all of the girls were still sta

Round 3: 3 Days Late
Bella Bella is a two year old, moon spotted Alpine doe I acquired in a trade for a two year old buck in February on 2025. She was received accidentally bred last year and kidded in May of 2025. Unfortunately the doeling did not survive. This year she has blessed our farm (on April 1st) with twins (one of each sex). She seems to have plenty of milk, and is turning out to be a great Mom. Our newest little family is doing well. Tank Tank (sire) is a yearling Alpine/Nigerian buck

Our Bottle Feeding Protocol
When our kids are born the remain with their Mum for about four days. This gives them a good start, eating as much as they desire, and allows the doe to convert from colostrum, to milk and flush the udder. We then bring the kids up to the house, where the reside in a kennel outside, and have a small play pen to romp in for a few days while they are learning to eat from a bottle. When the kids are removed, the Mum rejoins the herd, and is milked twice a day, the same as the ot

Round 2: Our Newest Little Lady
Lady This Momma is a 5 year old LaMancha/Alpine cross doe. She has been with us on the farm since she was born. This is her fourth successful kidding. She is an excellent producer, typically well over a gallon of great tasting milk per day when fresh. She will be back in production in the next few days. Cody Daddy was a four year old Kiko buck that I purchased from a friend when he was two weeks old. This will be his final daughter as he went to freezer camp last December. H

2026 Kidding Has Begun
Our first kidding of 2026 occurred at approximately 6:10 am on Feb 26th. Onyx Onyx (dam) is a 2 year old, Kiko/LaMancha tri-color doe. She is a first time freshener, and we expect great things from this little lady. She is not a large doe, but she is still growing. She will have her first milking later today. Her milk will be available in about four days. Tank Tank (sire) is a yearling Alpine/Nigerian buck that joined our farm in August of 2025. He is very sweet tempered, and

Why Are You Paying To Much?
We have been doing some price investigation in the local Ponderay area when it comes to goat milk. What we found may interest you, and finally put to rest the idea that FARM FRESH is too expensive. This picture was taken at the Ponderay Wal-Mart in late January. This was the ONLY goat milk available. Factory farmed Most likely goats are grain, soy and corn fed Ultra pasteurized Most likely goats are heavily vaccinated Unknown if goats ever see pasture Vitamin D additives Unkn

Our Working Puppos
Our farm currently has two working dogs, one for herding and one for herd protection. Abby Abby is a one year old Border Collie/Blue Heeler cross. She hasn't had much training but is a herding natural and has moved the goats around the property several times and has gotten them where I need them to go. She herds mostly in the heeler style. She is very friendly and loves meeting people but is shy around children. She currently weighs about 35 lb. She also has what we call ball
